The Haiti Parliamentary Support Project (HPSP) was launched in December 2006. The goal of the project was to contribute to the strengthening of political governance and the promotion of national dialogue. The Parliamentary Centre provided ongoing technical support for parliamentarians during the review of several bills, for example the Electoral Bill, the Organization and Financing of Political Parties Bill, the Customs Code Bill, the Minimum Wage Bill, the 2009-2010 Budget Bill and the Bill on Responsible Paternity. Activities were suspended following the tragic earthquake in January 2010.
